Tilted or angled helical coil

Hi, I made a tilted helical coil in August 2020 after following instructions that I thought I had found on a video. Unfortunately I cannot find the video again and didn't take detailed notes for myself. I am trying to make changes to the file such as decreasing the outer diameter of the coil, but now I am having some difficulty getting the circle sketch to project onto the path that is angled in order to ensure the ultimate sweep will be "tilted". Any help or direction to a relevant video reference would be greatly appreciated.  The file I made previously is 14mm (in the title) and the new file is 4mm. Thanks.

One thing I see different is 12 turn part does not have the extruded "Z" surface before the 3d sketch. That extruded surface is used for the intersection curve for the circle to generate the sweep path.

Hi! It is a very interesting workflow. The same genius process is still valid. The issue with the new part is that the profile is self-intersecting. I guess you may have overlapped lines. Instead of drawing the lines repeatedly, you could draw a few lines and extrude them as a surface. Pattern the surface with proper spacing. And, Stitch them together. It should work.

Many thanks!
