I don't recall ever seeing threaded rod in Content Center.

Have you considered creating your own Content Library?  Or just modeling it as a one-off?  Modeling a length of M10 threaded rod is really about a five-minute task, at least if you take the time to make nice chamfers on the ends and get all the iProperties filled in correctly.  Might be fifteen minutes to model the threads, though that's generally a waste of time and computer resources unless you're printing it.

Would a Stud be a reasonable stand-in for threaded rod?  I see that there are DIN standard studs in the installed Content Library, up to M10x1.25 x 3000mm lg.

As Sam says, this is a pretty easy CC task.
Create an iPart of a threaded rod and then publish to the content centre with the option for custom length.

If you search the CC for "stud"?
