thread profile in 2D

Hi guys, I'm an inventor 2023 user.

I would like to find a solution to obtain a magnification of the thead profile and show it in 2D (always starting from 3D) without necessarily draw it by hand.

The attached sketch shows what I would like to create without drawing it by hand every time.
Is there a way to speed it up?
Thanks in advance

Make a detail view of the model and dimension, but if you add this on multiple parts, then you could always make the detail view as a sketch symbol instead with the dimensions and just place the sketch symbol on the drawing and refer to that?

Hi Alessandro,

If I understand your request correctly, you would like to show the 2D profile from the 3D part in 2D. In this case, the section view or detail view of the 3D model may not offer the 2D geometry you are looking for. You may want to create a sketch block that represents the 2D profile. Then in 2D drawing, simply include the model sketch.

Many thanks!
