thicken/offset not straight

when I try to thick my surface that i created with loft I cant get the green line straight on the circle  >>>   pic attachment below

Hi,

I'm not sure i understood the intent of the freeform body, but to make it a solid, it must be closed (currently it is an open, see below):

To turn it into a solid, I deleted a couple of faces from the solid body created previously (in the previously attached "problem_a.ipt") and also deleted  "Sculpt1" + LoftSrf2 and then just stitched the remaining faces together to form the new solid (see attached "problem_freeform_b.ipt").

The end result might not be what you were after, but i hope the work-flow at least gives you an idea of how to go from an open surface to a solid body.

The use of the term "back" is confusing to me.

References must be made relative to the modeling environment as generic terms are not specific enough to identify the true design intent.

Using the View Cube as reference (or you can change the color Properties of a face), exactly which side do you need to change and can you describe the desired change?

What does this mean?

Do your pictures have specific file names that you can use as reference?

I do not see a "phone picture" of this area.

Post a photograph of this area.

From the other photos - it appears much more rounded than the square corners you had in your examples.

You can control Tangency condition and "weight" of the Loft feature.

Experiment with the start and end "weight" of the curves.

You can also add Guide Rails.

That's right, I need the shape of the photo's that's taken of the part with a camera, But my knowledge with  autocad (inventor) isn't that great.

so this is the closest way I can do it. I showed my supervisor for internship if this "SHAPE" we have now is "good", he said 'no'. so after that I uploaded a picture on this post.        If you can help me to make the shape like in the camera pictures that would be GREAT!

When I have to model something like that with complex curvature, I start by -

taking some photographs looking directly at top, front, side and other views as needed. (one looking directly at that inclined planar opening face would be included)

Try to get as perpendicular as possible, and experiment with distances and camera settings to eliminate as much parallax error as possible.

Place each image in it's own sketch and scale to get to 1:1 relative to real world size of some key feature.

Lock down the sketch(es).

I do not place any part sketch geometry on these sketches.

When creating the part sketches - use the images only for reference - not absolute truth, as there will be some parallax error.

The pictures you have now supplied would have greatly helped at the outset - but parallel/perpendicular perspective shots would really help now.

Inventor is not AutoCAD.

Inventor is offended if it is called AutoCAD.

You might have jinxed yourself....   

The products are Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

well I don't have to put the pictures in the sketches, the only thing I need to know how to draw the side shapes in the image below.

the shapes have to be fluent without clear lines as you currently see in the drawing.
