The rectangular pattern feature was not working

Hi everyone,

I'm Phuc, I'm very new to Inventor.

The rectangular pattern feature was not being displayed, even though I tried to edit the feature many times. It only worked when I deleted the current feature and then created a new one. I don't know why and this bug has made me worried about using Inventor in the future. In my experience with other CAD software, the rectangular pattern feature is considered very basic. Thank you.

HI!

You are using Assembly features, not Part features, so these features only exist in Assembly context, not in the part itself.

Anyway, when you create assembly features, you can add or remove participants for each feature.
In your example, select the Pattern feature, RMB and select "Add Participant" and select the parts theat will participate in the feature.

Thank you for your enthusiastic reply. I rechecked the design, and the problem was exactly as you said. I had been following the instructions from the "3D Modeling for Mechanical Design Using Inventor" course on Learning Courses, and I wasn't aware of this approach in Inventor.

After a few days, I'm feeling more adapted and I'm enjoying using Inventor even more, despite some inconveniences with clicking the mouse and selecting objects. Anyway, I hope you have a great day! ^^
