Happy hump day all!

My question for today is an easy one. (except for me 😉 ) I am looking for the center line symbol to place in an idw file I am working on. I can find it in AutoCAD but not in Inventor. I am editing a dimension  to a center line and would like to place the stacked CL at the end. I seem to remember that AutoCAD would do that automatically when you typed C/L. Now it has the actual symbol in the dimedit dialog box. Can't find the symbol any where in Inventor. Inventor will tell me how to create a "custom" symbol, but is this really a custom symbol? Thanks for your time.

Thanks Dan,

But I still don't see the stacked C/L symbol in that list. I am using 2016 and am editing a dimension. Dialog box looks a little different, went through all the available symbols from the list and didn't see it anywhere.

You can also type a lower case q and change the font to AIGDT or one of the AMGDT fonts.

(Which is actually what the dropdown is doing.)

Bigger picture.

And you can also get to the Windows Character Map.

Dan,

appearently I am blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. I found it, thanks! I didn't think a symbol so commonly used would be left out of the symbol set. Thanks again!

I didn't want to attach to big of a picture and it should be clearer in your own Inventor once you have an idea of where to click.

If you click the little pencil in the Edit Dimension dialog you get the same Format Text I showed before but it is also here:

(in case someone with the same problem finds this post and thinks, "That's not the dialog I'm looking at for my dimension.")

and for Hole notes:

Of course this is all for 2015, things might be slightly different for older or newer versions of Inventor.

Yeah, found it the second time I looked. Not sure if I'm feeling stupid or
blind, maybe a little of both. I appreciate the help, sometimes it's the
simple things that get us. Thanks again for the speedy help. Enjoy the rest
of your week.
