Text missing from exported pdf

Hi please see the idw and pdf attached. When the idw is saved as a pdf some of the text is missing. If I print the drawing to a pdf printer then all is there. Is this a bug?

Thank you for having posted your question on the forum.

After investigation of the drawing, the problem seems to be due to a problem with the arial font used by local Inventor styles.

Potential cause: Texts corrupted in sheets 3, 4 and 5.

Observations:

1. Problem with sheets 3, 4 or 5 when exported.
2. No problem with sheets 1 or 2 when exported.
3. All sheets exported at the same time (Export > pdf > option >All sheets > ok > save) => no problem
4. Sheet 4 moved up at first position in browser > export all sheet (as in step3) => problem visible on all sheets of pdf.

Workarounds/Solutions:

1. Change Text style > Current BSI > "Font" > Arial to Arial Unicode MS => pdf export is then correct.
2. Copy all sheets from problematic drawing > Past in a new drawing generated from default template => depending the situation could solve the problem (not verifiable in this case because model files are not provided).
3. As you mentioned, printing in pdf (using a 3rd party pdf printer) generates correct results.

Just print to PDF and forget you ever saw Inventors buggy PDF functionality.
