Tapered pan won't unfold correctly.

Hi, Can anybody explain why this simple tapered pan will not unfold correctly? The flat pattern should only have 1 tapered vertical line. I believe I've constrained everything correctly & in the 3d model it looks fine. Thanks

Hi Ricky,

The flat pattern is correct, as far as I can tell. To reorient it - use Edit Flat Pattern Definition tool while in Flat Pattern mode. To see the effect of it - change the dimension 196 to something smaller, say - 100 mm. Then it will become more obvious what's going on.

I have attached a screencast of what i think will solve your problem.

You wanted it to flat pattern with one tapered horizontal line. So i placed a horizontal constrained on the horizontal edge, and not the tapered edge.

I attached the screencast so you can see how to do it easier.

Is this what you wanted?

Thanks Thomas for the answer, I couldn't figure why the taper seemed to carry on into the flanges.

Adding the constraint on the flat pattern works fine.
