Switching between Representations without Browser Tree collapsing

Is there a way to switch between Representations without the Browser Tree collapsing?

It's frustrating to have to expand it back open when switching reps a lot.

It saves it the way you last had it. You have to Unlock it, save it the way you like it and then Lock it.
So, in your case, Unlock it/Collapse All (or just the ones you want to collapse) and re-Lock it.
