I'm trying to draw a knot in a rope, and the profile do not want to follow the path. It keeps on coming up with an error.
I made the loop so big that there can be no interference. I hit a wall on this one.
Please help anybody.

I've looked at, still a self intersection error, I undid the knot and it sweeps fine.
Unless someone beats me to it, I'll provide an example tomorrow.

Hi! This is easily doable. The issue here is that the path has a bad end. If you look closer to the path, you will see there is unreasonable curvature distribution.
Edit 3D Sketch3 -> right-click on the curve -> Display Curvature. The tip at the end curves back. The control vertices there need to be deleted. After that, it is a straight forward sweep. Please see attached part. How did you create the path?

Thanks for highlighting the problem.
I created the knotted path using the 3D spline. First drawing it at right angles roughly the way a knot looks, and then "fine tuned" it from all angles to look like a true knotted rope. It took a while 😁
I wanted to show you guys why I was after this knot.
I was asked to "invent" a mini gym for 5-6 y.o. children, using extruded recycled plastic, and I wanted it to look as realistic as possible. The unsighted side is a climbing wall.
I'll still make the rope a bit thinner, and put two more knots in there.
