Sweep not working

Hello!

I am trying to create a sword blade. 

I made the outer shape in sketch, then extruded it. Then I want to make the edge (blunt edge) with sweep (in cut mode)

For the profile I want to use skecth4. For the path I want to use sketch5. The orientation would be: follow the path.

Why it does not working? I know there can be other solutions, but I want to use the sweep, and understand why it's not working.

Sweep cause a self intersection.

Hi

On the video you can see how the Sweep geometry solid behaves around the apex.

That's why you get a message about self-intersecting geometry (it's worth reading the messages - they often describe the problem in detail).

You need to change the modeling method or add an internal path to guide the profile.
