surface evolvent

Hello. I would like to make boat surfaces evolvents. I want to use "stich and glue" boatbuilding bethod, when exatly milled details forming all hull shape. Can anybody help me to make evolvents of hull sides, top and bottom? Thanks in advance.

I would assume that it would be usefull to have some symmetry about the origin.

I would start by reading this document http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/skillsusa%20university.pdf

then go through these tutorials (a little old- but should be useful)

Hi! If I were you, I would use surfaces to define the shape. Then trim off the unneeded portion. Lastly, thicken the body panel one by one.

Let me know if you see any issue.

Thanks!
