Styles - International Standard Reference

Hi

In the styles & standard editor, on the general tab is International Standard Reference that ia greyed out. Its currently set as ISO but we need ASTM. How can i change this to follow the current ASTM standard?

Hi Nacho,

Do you mind taking a screenshot of what you are seeing? If I recall correctly, you need to edit Object Defaults. There is a pencil button and you need to click it to enable edit.

When i got to Object Defaults, i just get a list of existing styles that i can set as an Object Default. There are not any options to change a standard. When i select an Object Standard, there are not any settings or options there either.

Hi Nacho,

I don't think you can change International Standard Reference. It is probably hard-coded. One thing you may consider is to change the dropdown menu (on the upper right corner) to Local standards. In this way, you will have some other styles to choose.

The only styles we have in our office are the ones that have been created. We dont run ISO standards, we run ASNI & ASTM which is a US standard (afaik)

Seems a little pointless on many levels...

Why hardcode a standard, add it a dropdown box and grey it out?

Why have only 1 standard when there are many that different industries use? 

ISO, GB, BS, ANSI, ASTM, ARCH etc

We should be able to select a standard. In my case, I will create the 2 standards from scratch
