Style Editor Inventor Show Text Dimensions in horizontal position - 2020 Professional.

Hi Support,

I cannot get the Styles Editor to actually work.

I think I may have accidently turned something off because of Mouse Lag.

I have used Style Editor many times to get all dimensions in the horizontal position & no problem.

But now, it does not work.

I click on “Vertical Dimension Inline Vertical”.

Click “Save & Close.”

But I still get the dimensions running sideways as shown below.

It has always worked, but not now.

Above is what I want for the dimensions style.

Could you please advise me how to correct this as I want all number dimensions horizontal.

Many Thanks & Kind Regards

Robert. QAS1@BIGPOND.NET.AU

Hi!

For me, is working well (using Inv23).

What version are you using?
Check if you have all Inventor updates installed.
Close the software and open it again.

If the cursor is lagging, probably your 3D model can have a problem, check if it has the red cross active and fix the issue.

If the problem persists, you can Share your file to take a look.

Hi, first check, that you install last update for Inventor - it should be 2020.5.4 Update (15-November-2022).

Then check, that your editing dim style is current ( i think you mean “Vertical Dimension: Inline Horizontal”)

Hi! Either there is a bug/a corruptive style or the setting was not set correctly. Please share the files in zip here. I would like to understand the behavior better. The horizontal dimension orientation should just work.

Many thanks!

Hi There

Please see example files attached.

I have looked at existing drawings before this happens & they work as normal
if I add an additional dimension as shown below with the 2 x 30mm
dimensions, The LH one is the new one.

So it seems to still work on original drawings before this happens but not
on any new drawings.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply & hope that you can help please.

Many Thanks & Kind Regards,

Rob.
