Studio animation, rendering issues?

IV 2009 pro 64bit.
Vista 64 bit. 8 gigs of ram
Ati Radeon 3870

I have an animation I originally created in IV 11 and have migrated to 2009. The original file renders fine, but when I try to run it on my newer computer with 2009, there are errors galore in its rendering process.
-Lines across the image
-Geometry becomes invisible
-Overall inconsistency.

I'm rendering at 1920x1080, realistic, medium antaliasing, to an image sequence of bmp's. Has anyone experienced this before ? Has anyone discovered the cause or the solution ? Thanks in advance. Mike

Check your graphics card drivers, sounds like a
card/driver issue. If there is a newer driver, un-install your existing driver
before installing the new version.

It appears you are correct. I was using a new ATI graphics card (ATI Radeon HD4870 with 1gig of ram) to run the rendering.

After reading an thread here about ATI being "Always Trash Inventor" , I swapped in an older Nvidia card. That card renders the animation perfectly.

However, I just bought this new ATI card and it wasn't cheap. Does anyone know of any third party ATI drivers that DO work with Inventor? After already having invested the cash for the card, I would really like to find a way to make it work.

Thanks,
Mike

Start Inventor.
Click the Help menu
About 3/4 of the way down, click Graphic Drivers.
That puts you on the Autodesk website discussing drivers.
Maybe you can get the information you're looking for there.
