Structure as inventor tree

Is it possible to sort the BOM list as the inventor tree?

When I sort the structured BOM by BOM structure, only the assembly is sorted.

The subassemblies stay sorted alphabetically. Is it possible to sort the hole assembly as the inventor tree?

Or is this possible with iLogic?

I'm confused..

Do you want to sort the the full indented (top leve and subassembly) BOM based on the model browser order?

What is this "Inventor Tree" you are talking about?

I want to give it an itemnumber like in the picture:

roelfoubert_0-1600256982238.png

inplanting.iam needs to be 1

Samenstelling overgang C53-c52 =>1.1

Las C1 => 1.1.1

Las C2 => 1.1.2

when there is another assembly higher than Las C1 it will be 1.2

Or if this is easier:

inplanting.iam needs to be 1

Samenstelling overgang C53-c52 =>2

Las C1 => 3

Las C2 => 4

inplanting.iam will NOT show up in a bom for itself.

Where are you expecting this number to actually show up or be used? In an export to excel?

inplanting.iam won't show up in the parts list for itself so why do you need it to be 1?

An "all levels bom" is correctly numbered like this.. and you can go into the Bill of Materials dialog, switch to the "Structured" tab and press the "View Options" button then select "View Properties" and pick "All Levels" from the Level dropdown and pick your delimiter.

Samenstelling overgang C53-c52 =>1

Las C1 => 1.1

Las C2 => 1.2

Las C3=> 1.3

I need it to be renumbered to get a tree structure for all my files.

I want th main assembly to be a number of my project.

And al the subassemblies have the same number at the beginning, but have an extra number referring to its higher assembly.

When I do what you say, onather part is 10.1.

@roelfoubert  Use the "Renumber" button in the BOM dialog and pick 1 for the start value.

That would be possible if the parts and assembly are in the right order.

As you can see is the order of the parts different in the BOM as in the model browser of inventor.

But I want them to be renumbered like the model browser.

Hi! I guess you are looking for the Model Data tab in BOM dialog. Also, you probably want to place that assembly into another assembly and look at the BOM table there.

Many thanks!
