Stress Analysis of a an Assembly Made of Different Materials Problem

Hello,
I've got a simple 2 piece assembly that I need to analyze for stress. It's an outer shell of nylon6/6 with an inner driving hub of stainless steel (a composite wheel for all intents & purposes). I cannot get the outer shell to receive a fixed constraint, or apply any loads or constraints to it at all. However, I can apply any constraint and load to the inner hub. Both parts are enabled & visible in the stress analysis environment. I've tried "automatic contacts" & all the simulation variables I can find, but the problem remains.

My objective is to simulate the stress effects these components have on each other as created at their boundary resulting from a moment load applied to the inner hub.

Incidentially this is an injection molded part.

Many thanks to any assistance in advance!

Sorry, did not read everything correctly. I assume that you are on 2010. If
so, can you post the assembly with the two parts, zipped?

Jefferey,

I'm running 2010. The files are attached.

Thank you much

Try this one (pull down EOP).

You did not use Heal option with Delete Face resulting in a surface body rather than a solid.

BTW I would have used multi-body solids rather than the technique you used to create the two parts.
