Stress analyse breaking point

Hi,

I have to calculate when a project is breaking at which point of Newtons. I did watch some YouTube tutorials but I can't find any tutorial that tells me how to do this with the Inventor Stress Analyse. Is this even possible?

I'm using Inventor Professional 2016

Thanks in advantage

No.

Inventor static FEA is limited to within the linear elastic range of deformation.

Fracture would occur after entering the non-linear plastic range of deformation (except for very brittle materials).

Are you a student?  There are other analysis tools available for free to students.

Hi! You may want to look into Autodesk NASTRAN In-CAD (built on top of Inventor). It is capable of handling non-linear stress analysis.

Many thanks!
