Spherical inclusions in sphere.

Spherical inclusions in sphere.

Hello, I am trying to generate a sphere with a set number of spherical inclusions inside.

The number and position of the inclusions depend upon their size (I do not want inclusions outside of my sphere)

I want them evenly spaced in the 3 dimensions (the distance between two inclusions is 4 times the radius of the inclusions).

Is there a way in Inventor to automatically generate the inclusions ?

What version of Inventor?

Can you attach your initial *.ipt attempt here?

My version is Autodesk Inventor Professional 2016,

I didn't go very far, I managed to create a sphere and then I created a smaller sphere.

I didn't go father because if I wanted 100 inclusions I would have had to copy my part a hundred times and I was wondering if there was a way to automatize it ?

Hi Anthony_Mostly_Harmless,

I know this isn't exactly what you're asking, but see if this golf ball model gives you some hints as to how to use patterns for this:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

First thing I notice is that your Sketch1 is not fully defined.

You are missing a Coincident constraint to the center point and missing a Vertical constraint.

These issues will become important as the complexity increases.

2nd - do you want this as an assembly, or do you want as single part?

3.  Do  you have a link to an image of a design similar to your design intent?

Ok thanks i've added the constraints.

The program I import it in requires an assembly

I am looking to make a similar model to this (except in a sphere):
