Spaceball Button Configurations?

Just wondering how to set up the buttons for my spaceball 4000 FLX from Labtec. I want to be able to click to recenter as you would do with the mouse, but I don't know if I can program this function or are we stuck with the basic functions provided? Thanks Jerry

Jerry, Do you know if it'll work with 3Dconnexion drivers ? If so, download the latest drivers from http://www.3dconnexion.com/downlink.asp And go to http://www.3dconnexion.com/documentation.htm to get the Windows manual http://www.3dconnexion.com/pdf/Users%20Manual%20Final%206-11new.pdf HTH Duncan "Jerry Chasek" wrote in message news:403269af$1_3@newsprd01... > Just wondering how to set up the buttons for my spaceball 4000 FLX from > Labtec. If my memory serves me correctly, the only programming you can do for the buttons are keyboard letter combinations. eg Ctrl S = Save or Alt T <> Alt ? (where ? = one of the commands under the tools sub menu) Unfortunately, I'm not looking at Inv at the moment. But you can create your own commands from menu functions and assign them to different buttons or alter the current assignments. Set up a Spaceball button to push the END key. This will run the Zoom Selected command and let you pick a rotation center.

Excellent!! Just the button I need. It's more than just the END. Thanks for the info JC "MechMan" wrote in message news:14656814.1077054411979.JavaMail.jive@jiveforum1.autodesk.com... > Set up a Spaceball button to push the END key.
