Hi,
I'm trying to verify the sizing of a needle bearing but it seems like the Basic Dynamic Load Rating is shown as 0N which causes the calculation to fail. Problem is that I cannot manually enter this value… see screen shoot attached
Anyone has a solution for that?
Urgent response would be appreciated
Thanks in advance and regards,
Stephane

Hello @stef.niemczyk,
Sounds like the value was calculated, so try to find the value which was participated and regenerate the value.
Try to search more contents from Mechanical design handbook.
Thanks!
Hello @stef.niemczyk,
it looks like that this data are missing in your Content Center Family. You can check it in Content Center Editor. Here is a screen capture from Inventor 2019 with complete data table (Because I do not know what version of Inventor you have)
If you have empty Dynamic Load Rating item you can create a copy of the family and update data according to this screen capture.
Hi Pavel,
i think you're right but how do you reach the page you're showing so i can modify the data?
thanks
stephane
Hello @stef.niemczyk,
here is a small video how to do that + few steps:
Then you can use the new Family in Design Accelerator Bering Generator
Stephane
it looks like you are trying to use a radial needle bearing with a thrust load.
Radial needle bearings cannot take a thrust load.
try using a ball bearing or a tapered roller bearing, or a combination of thrust and radial needle bearings.
