Sketch Crooked

This is killing me- I'm trying to sketch on the right face (see picture) My part is centered on the origin planes properly. When I go to sketch on the right face the sketch is crooked because the origin of the new sketch is being defined by the arcs that I have on the edges of the part which doesn't properly reference my part and makes the new sketch crooked.

If I create a new plane offset from the origin plane, flush with the right face and then sketch on that plane the problem goes away, but I know there has to be a better way to do this. I don't want the sketch constrained to a plane, I want it to be constrained to the right face.

I cant constrain the part to the new sketch plane, it wont move.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

If you are creating a new sketch, after entering sketch environment, you can edit the coordinate system as below image shows.

If you've created a sketch already, you can exit the sketch environment and check the context menu to edit the sketch coordinate system.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for the fast reply,

When I try to edit the coordinate system it doesn't let me select an origin plane, or axis to align it with ?

Thanks again,
