SImulation frictionless mid plane can't select

The attached file is a half model that I am analysing. I have split it in half and want to fix it at the bottom and apply a fricionless constraint to the exposed plane. For some reason Inventor simulation will let me select parts of the exposed plane; but not all. I have done this many times before so this is strange. I also tried extruding half of the plane away.

Has anyone any suggestions? I have 2014 SP1.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

Try creating a work plane to split the face. Then you should be able to apply the frictionless constraint on the face.

Please have a look at the attached file and let me know if it's the result you want.

Thank you.

That worked well. Thank you.

It seems a shame that this extra step is necessary.
