Sheet Metal Punch - The sketch does not qualify as a punch placement sketch

I have problems generating a custom punch for a sheet metal part. I wanted to create a punch using the "revolve" feature. Creating a punch only using a cut works without any problems, but when I use the revolve feature to create a custom shape and want to extract the iFeature, Inventor gives me an error message "The sketch does not qualify as a punch placement sketch. A punch placement sketch can have only one center mark. Edit the sketch and add or delete center marks as needed."

I tried the rebuild what was done in this youtube video:

and it works fine. I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions? I attachted the respective sheet metal part.

I also tried using "sweep" instead of revolve. Answer when trying to extract iFeature: "Objects that are not supported by iFeatures will be removed from the selection".

I don't believe this solves this OP's problem. It doesn't explain why we can make a generic piece of sheet metal, then a simple cut and get this error when we go to extract ifeature. I've done this stuff before and frankly forgot this answer myself lol. Anyways, the trick here is that in the main sketch of the punch feature you are making. You need to make sure to mark the center point you want as the center point in sketch.
Make sure there's only 1 center point and you should be good.

Yes their example files do this too, just wasn't apparent/obvious.

Hi! I suspect you may have an origin point projected to the sketch automatically. This extra projected point can cause some confusion. Please share the part here. I would like to understand why iFeatue extraction fails.

Correct @johnsonshiue , it does bring in the origin point as a projected point, but not entirely the issue either unless the user changes the format to a center point. The key is that the ifeature needs a single center point but doesn't specify the exact problem. I've made these in the past and I forgot I needed to make the center projected point as the center point under the formats area on the ribbon.

I was merely providing a backup solution for anyone else finding the same problem.

PS: I was brought to this thread from searching the error in the dialog box.
