Sheet metal part

Hi

I have 2 questions

1. On the INV 2019 part attached, how would you create this part using sheet metal tools?

2. I`ve tried multiple ways of placing fillets on the part but could not get to work. I was looking for a 30mm fillet along the 4 straight edges underneath to the top section as well as some fillets around the circle section

Thank you

JS

To fabricate the part you have designed, you will need to break it up into 2 parts.

To get the main shape you need to create a lofted flange

To flatten this shape, you will need to add a "rip"

The front round section should be a separate part, which would be welded or riveted on.

With regard to the radius that you want, this will depend on the manufacturing method, i.e how it is fabricated, the "Bend Radius" can be set in the loft feature.

You should give this a read too: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2021/ENU/Inve...

Hope that points you in the right direction.

Your Design Intent is unclear to me.

Let's start with the first part.

Is something like one of the two files attached what you are after?
