Just the tongue is possible, but if you want more complex geometry you will need to create an offset workplane and a new face (or sketch and flange), and finally add a bend (bridge) so the surfaces don't lick each other.

Yes, I know. If you use the first method (as shown in your video) the tongue merges together with the existing face. That's the fast method (like the 'old method' prior to R2025). If you want the tongue (or a more complex form) not to merge with the existing face, you have to work with an offset workplane and a face with bend (option fixed edges).
