Hi

The closest will be a laser weld (bend tab in the flange dialog box)

Try this:

  • Create cube
  • Shell
  • Convert to sheet metal, setting thickness & A side
  • Create rip sketch
  • Cut this sketch 2xThickness (normal)

I do not know if it's gonna work. it occurred to me on the train, so I didn't check.

Hi Matteo,

While the model itself wouldn't look like the actually made item, if Three Bend Intersection Relief Shape is set to "Intersection" - the Flat Pattern will come out correct. And the manufactured item will look just like the one on the image of yours.

If, however - the model itself should look like the one on a picture - then there are some sort of workaround will be needed, most likely.

Cheers,

Igor,

Hi Igor!

Yeah, I have noted that issue.

Two bends the 3d preview is ok, 3 bends, not so ok.

Thank you for your care to point out that.

Yeah,  the workaround it will be needed.

Thanks!

Hello Matteo,

If you really need a part, which looks just like the one on a picture and you want to get some sort of a flat pattern from it - the Unwrap feature can be of some help I think. Here is the part in IV2020 format,

Cheers,

Igor.

You can also edit the model directly in the flat pattern environment. There you can sketch and extrude a surface that will fill the gap.
