sharing content centre data

Hi All,

I just have a general question about sharing content centre files,

I am trying to sort workflows and have come across the issue of content center files not being available to every user on our server. e.g. I finish a project and want the model to be checked, the checker opens the model and the content centre parts are not there. is there an easy way around this? we are NOT using vault.

Thanks

Matt

When a content center part is placed into an assembly it is stored in the publish location that's defined on the end user's settings (application options/file tab or the folder options of the active project).

When someone else opens that assembly it doesn't look back at the content center and looks on their defined location and if it can't find it, then it becomes an un-resolved file even though the CC is in your content center libraries.

So if you're sharing your models between users then your published CC parts (after placed into an assembly) must reside on a shared network location.
