Set position of sub-assy in position of main assy

Hi all,

I can create a position of a sub-assy with ease. However, when I put this sub-assy into my main assy and select the representation, I can only choose from the possible positions in my sub-assy if my main assy position remains in its master. Hope this makes sense. Why is it working this way? Is there a workaround that does not take a lot of time?

You can create a positional representation in the main assembly and then right click on your desired sub-assembly > Override:

Tick the box of positional rep and choose the one you want.

Then your components will be bold when they are in a positional rep

choose what sub-assemblies reps you want from there.
