separate lines in Excel Spreadshets not always created in Inventor Table

I have created a table in a drawing linked to an Excel spreadsheet.  Inside the spreadsheet are individual cells that have multiple lines of data.  When I create an Inventor table and link it to the spreadsheet, some (not all) of the cells don't show the data on separate lines  as they are on the spreadsheet.  What can I do so the line breaks from Excel come into the Inventor table so I don't have to edit the table in my drawing after the fact (creating a table with cells that won't update when the Excel file is changed)?

Thanks!

Can you show a specific example of the problems you are having?

Inventors generic table command is very basic at best.. It doesn't support merging and MANY other aspects of a table that one could create in excel,etc...

In the past I have had some good luck copying the table in excel and using "paste special" in Inventor (check the link box).. This usually works well with smaller tables up to a certain amount of rows/columns..

Anything "large/complex" just does not work well in Inventor at all..

Hi! If I recalled correctly, we had an issue like this a few months ago. Microsoft helped resolve it with an update. Please install all critical Windows and Office updates (not Win10 1903 if you are on Inventor 2018 or 2017).

Many thanks!
