Selecting Threaded hole radio button crashes Inv

OK,

New install of Inventor 2017, using the default .ipj or a new one I just created.

When I select the radio button on the Hole command menu, Inventor makes like a baby and heads out!

I can repeat this and have, sent in a couple crash reports on it as well.

Same deal.

Tried a repair install and it failed!

Looks like it's time to break out CCleaner and wipe it off the HD and reinstall....oh the joy.

Upon reviewing the crash report, it appears that Inventor crashed while reading thread.xls file.

• Was the file ever modified?
• Could you try to replace it with a default one from the installation package?
• Is there any restriction to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2017\Design Data\XLS\en-US folder or to the file?
• Could you try to repair Excel?

If Inventor repair failed, it's also possible that the installation has been corrupted. You might also want to try re-installation.

I solved it!

Had to reboot, uninstall and perform a MS Fixit routine, then reinstall.

Threaded hole radio button is now working...so far.
