Selecting closed loop

Why there is this behavior?

It's quite impossibile to select the wanted area.

Hi! Inventor profile recognition is not able to detect a region if there isn't a coincident constraint at the intersection between two crossing lines. Try adding coincident constraints at the intersections. The profiles should be recognized. If it still does not work, please share the file or send it to me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I would like to understand the behavior better.

I had that from time to time, especially with AutoCAD imports and usually, I make them all construction and turn them back on as needed.

Hi, thank you.

I am aware of how Inventor behave in these cases.

I would just want something smarter in these new releases.

I don't want to wait for the selector. I want the most obvious selection available first (as fusion).

I really think that:

-closed loops

-selection areas

will need an improvement.

It is my understanding that Fusion is a lot better at understanding loops and regions. Maybe we can get the two teams together and improve it.

Nonetheless, @admaiora add this Idea and give us a link to vote for it.
