Section view without edges

Hello..

I have a problem with inventor professional 2019.

When i have a section view on an assembly it seems that some "edges" (the cilydrical surfaces) don't appear on the screen. Obviusly i have already chosen the view with edges.

I've already updated the vga drivers and i have installed the last version of Inventor.

Is there any solution  ?

Thanks in advance

That solution partially solves the problem but i think there are some graphical glitches.

Zooming in or out causes the appearance of the edges (see images below)

Can you Attach a file here that exhibits this behavior?

Are you on 2019.1?

What are your Graphics card/driver specs?

Yes for sure,

i'm using Inventor Professional 2019 on this system:

Intel i7-7700 HQ

16GB ram

Win 10 Pro (v.1803)

Nvidia GeForce GTX1050 with latest driver

Can you Attach the part you labeled No here?

Several observations:

1. You attached an assembly file (*.iam) without any part files (*.ipt)?

2. The part that you did attach here test1.ipt is not referenced in the assembly file Studio 55-25.iam that you attached here.

3. Sketch1 of the part test1.ipt is not fully defined and has at least 3 areas of questionable geometry as indicated in image below.  (To see the issue circled in red - delete the horizontal and vertical lines indicated.

3b. Work Planes 1, 2 and 3 are not needed.

3c. test1.ipt was created in an ancient version of Inventor (v5.3 SP2)

4. Based on experience - I would expect to see similar issues in all of your part files (if you Attached the parts for the assembly here).

Let's say that several sketches are not totally defined.

So is this the problem?

Not necessarily.  In fact, I modeled perfectly fine parts in AutoCAD without constrained sketches for years.

Parts can be modeled in Inventor without any constraints (other than Coincident) or any dimensions just fine.

But what I see is an indication of overall poor modeling techniques that can (and often do) result in unpredictable behavior.

Hi Alessandro,

I can reproduce the behavior on 2019.1. Indeed, the silhouette edges are not properly displayed. It is kind of random. Depending on the zoom factor, the edges appear and disappear. I will work with the project team and see if this is a known issue, which has been fixed in our internal build.

Many thanks!
