Section View of a flange

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I have the following issue:

When making a section view of a flange, I want, as normal in these drawings, the flange bores to be shown, as if they were on the top and bottom middle.

By now I tried to draw my section line and used the projected mode, but so the middle of my bores are on the height as they really are and not on the top and bottom Points.

Is there any way to do this?

Thank you in advance.

I am not sure if I understand your question right, but I think the following will solve your problem.

Thank you, but I mean something different.

As you see in my Attachment the bores are not in the top and bottom Point. Now I want to have a section view of this flange, that the bores look like, they're at the top and bottom, like in picture 2.

Whenever I draw a section line, I can see the bores, but just not at the middle top and bottom Location.

But this way, the main view is not right anymore, as I can't rotate it back and keep the section.

I Need a drawing where on the main view the flange bores are in the right Position and in the section on top and bottom.

I have seen drawings where exactly this was displayed, with a non-straight section line.

Let try this

You will only not have a section line.

When creating the section, you need not pick just two points - one at the top and one at the bottom.

There is also no need to erase the current section view and start over. Highlight the section line, right-click, and select "Edit". This will allow you to edit the section line as a sketch, using the same tools you use for any other sketch. Delete and create constraints, draw and project geometry as needed.
