Section view of 3D assembly model with some components not sectioned

Hi,

Is it possible to do a Half Section View in an Inventor 2020 3D assembly model file, but select specific components to be not sectioned?  For example, section an outer casing so that in the internal components can be viewed unsectioned.

I can only find instruction on how to do this within a 2D drawing.

There is a way to do this, but it may cause other complications that you can't accommodate.  The dialog shown below is Document Settings, so unchecking this box for the components you have in mind will accomplish what you want, but it will also affect all other assemblies and drawings where those components appear.  I, too, wish that this could be managed per occurrence in assemblies as it is in drawings.
