Saving in autocad Lt recognised format

I have a DWG which I created in IV 2019. I don't have access to IV for the time being. I have been asked to save the DWG in a format which is readable to Autocad LT 2019.

I used True view to save as 2010 DWG, but my colleague cannot open it.

Is there a way to save it so it will open (without IV).

Perhaps I'm using it wrong. Help!

@bengee5454

Some FYI..  AutoCAD drawings are based on .DWG file format..   Drawings created by AutoCAD or LT 2018-2020 still use the same .DWG format.   For Inventor it would be the same too.  Inventor 2018-2020 generates the same .DWG format for AutoCAD 2018-2020.

But a Inventor .DWG is not the same as an AutoCAD .DWG..   So are you looking to just view the drawing information in Acad LT or have the ability to change the actual drawing entities in Acad LT?

Think my colleague wants the option to amend.

By your response, he should be able to open.......but don't think he can,
I'll see if I can get more details

See this https://synergiscadblog.com/2018/04/30/dwg_autocad/  But you first need to take your Inventor. Dwg in Inventor and save as Autocad dwg in order to edit it in Autocad.

So I guess there is no way around it, I need Inventor.
