I just recently came back to doing work using inventor. we worked on a simple 2 part file, one was a triangle with a hole and the other was a custom 90 leg piece about 29 inches long. made the parts individually and saved them to the usual network location and then went to make the assembly using the leg piece first and it was no where to be found. my co-worker pulled up the network location and it was indeed, right where it was supposed to be. i called it .1875 leg piece for reference. when i display Quirk access in widows explorer, the file and path name display as normal, then when i click open file location, it is no where to be found. Yes, the path is the same as that's where the parts and drawings are stored for that customer. when i restart and reopen inventor , the part is there on the home screen in Recent and when i open it, it opens just fine. i can drag and drop the part into an assembly from explorer and there are no problems with it. I would really appreciate some help with this as i don't know if it is an inventor problem (i don't think it is) or a windows problem, which really doesn't make sense. thanks in advance
