Hello everybody!

I use Inventor 2024 and Vault 2024 and into the BOM i have the next question: Why there is a  blue row (i'm talking about the text)  into my part list? It's for the process check in / check out?

Best regards

Abraham BARROETA.

Hi! I believe those property values are Model State specific and they are overridden within the BOM Editor.

Many thanks!

Hello @johnsonshiue

I looked into the Inventor Help and it shows me the following information... but I need your help to interpret it.

What's mean with item status: Overridden?

Hi! I think the Help explanation applies to Item Number (IN) only. When the IN is overridden from the original system assigned value, it will become blue.

For your case, it is more specific to Model States. Please feel free to share the files in zip here or send it to me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. So I can confirm the Model State is indeed the reason showing the blue text.

Many thanks!

Thanks @johnsonshiue

Into the ZIP file;  Is assembly that shows me the issue.

The main asembly is: Ensemble1--ForFORUM.iam and the BOM show me the row blue.

Hi! Many thanks for sharing the files! I think my prior explanation holds true. The particular subassembly has non-Primary Model State (Mirror) active. And the change in those property value seem to occur within the BOM Editor. Could you confirm that?

Thanks again!

Hi! You may want to open the assembly and go to the browser. You will see some subassembly has "(Mirror)" followed by the component name. This means the subassembly is in "Mirror" Model State. Each Model State allows the parameters, properties, and geometry to be different. In your case, the properties are configured by the Model State table. And you may have made change to those values on BOM Editor. And the change has been captured on the Model State table.

Many thanks!
