Hi,

I am attempting to make a Round to Square 45 Elbow. I have used the sweep, loft and extrude function but with no success. Can anyone suggest a way in which i can design this component? I have attached the part file for those who wish to see what i have done. Thank you.

Regards,

Keith

This is my preferred method, because I think it looks best aesthetically.

Hi Keith;

Would something like that be useful to you? IV2018 file.

Cheers,

Igor.

And here's yet another way, using your file.  This is 2020 version, as yours is (please don't forget to include that information in your first posting, or perhaps in your signature).

I extruded the square up to the angled workplane, added corner fillets, then lofted from the angled face to the round end, and finally shelled the finished piece.

Edit: Without knowing the use for this and the intended fabrication method, I can't really do a good job of designing it, so the bend is too sharp for higher airflow, but that might be all that's needed.
