I have an issue with right click in browser in assembly mode. The menu need several seconds to appear and when it appear, it automatically do a left click.

Did someone have this problem too?

I have Inventor 2018 with Windows 10.

I've done the reset process - no change

Turned off the Marking Menu - did seem to work.

I'm using a wireless 3D mouse with updated drivers and logitech wireless mouse with associated drivers.

Things worked fine with the above arrangement (3D and regular mouse drivers) in 2017

Just to just in here... I'm on 2018.1.2 and I tried the calibrate for the 3D wireless mouse and no change.

The only thing that seems to have worked is to turn off the Marking Menu (which is sad because I use it extensively).

Interesting thing about this issue is that it only happens once every 3 or 4 times. And the only time it will happen is when I'm a going fast and typically do the following:

.. left click (on a part on screen or a constraint in the browser) and very quickly click the right mouse button.

If on the other hand I hold the right button just slightly longer than I normally would it seems to work just fine. The problem is, it slows me down in my work so I naturally default back to speed clicking as I always have with inventor (which is one of the reasons I love inventor over the competition SW - sooo slow)

Having the same issue using a 2D mouse and using Inventor 20188.1.2.  Here is my post on the issue.

Rebooting did not help.

Inventor Reset Utility did not help.

Hi Guys,

There is indeed a bug here. A fix has been worked on, currently targeting 2018.2 Update. If you are a Beta user, you may have access to pre-release update for testing purpose on Beta site. You may want to try it out and confirm the fix.

Many thanks!

I should have said Inventor 2018.1.2, NOT 2018.2

I've tried the Reset Utility, did not help.

Turning off the Marking Menu solves the right-click issue.

I have a colleague running a new Dell Laptop with Windows 10, no right-click issue.

I am running a Dell desktop, 3 years old, Windows 7, and have issue with right-click

We both have 3D Connexion mouse, SpaceExplorer, latest drivers

My Inventor is 2023 and I still have the same issue.

Tried a few ways to fix it, nothing works.

Can you please help me?

Best regards.

Hi! I could be wrong but this might be DPI related. I don't think it is the same issue as the original thread. Try the followings and see if it helps.

1. Try using the Windows recommended resolution and scaling display settings.

2. Right-click on the Inventor desktop icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Change High DPI settings -> check both boxes.

3. Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment variables -> create "QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR” and set it to 0.

Many thanks!
