Right mouse button in Browser

I have an issue with right click in browser in assembly mode. The menu need several seconds to appear and when it appear, it automatically do a left click.

Did someone have this problem too?

I have Inventor 2018 with Windows 10.

Are you on 2018 or are you on 2018.1?

Are you using a 3DConnexion Device?  If yes, try Calibrating the device.  (I have seen out-of-calibration device interfering with mouse operation.)

I believe this was solved in one of the updates for 2018..

So please make sure you are fully up to date and try again..

It's a bug, claimed to be fixed in 2018.1 but is still rearing its ugly head. No word on a time-frame for it to be fixed, only workaround is when using the right mouse button, hold it down until the context/marking menu appears and then you can choose an option without it deciding for you.

@Anonymous

Welcome back to the Inventor forum.

I have seen this a couple of times lately.

This has usually been resolved by uninstalling your 3D mouse drivers and unplugging your 3D mouse from your computer.

Please try this and let us know that this information resolved your issue.

Thank you.

So we are not able to use a 3D mouse anymore?
This must be a joke.

The RMC (Right Mouse Click) is a function of your windows drivers.

We have had as of late several customers with this issue and when they uninstalled their 3D Mouse drivers, their 2D mouse started to correctly work after a reboot.

This indicates that the drivers are conflicting and updated drivers I would expect resolve this.

I would start with updating your mouse drivers to see if that resolves the issue.

If you do not have any 3D mouse drivers loaded and are still having this issue, please log in at a NEW windows user profile and see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you all.

Everyone at my workplace has been having that issue, even with 2018.1.1, whether we are using 3D mice or not.  It still seems to be present, although slightly less of an issue with 2018.1.2.  As a workaround, you can turn off the marking menu in the View > User Interface menu.

@Anonymous,

Can you please try @metamere's solution and let us know if this works for you.

Can you let us know if you have customized your Ribbon, Keyboard and/or Marking Menus?

Thank you.

No customisation here, brand new install with all SPs and it has this problem. It's really really annoying.

Re Spacemouse driver conflicts, I haven't updated mine of late, it worked fine with 2017 for the last year.

I'm using the built in Windows 10 mouse driver, never had to install a manufacturer specific one.

I'll try the workaround that's been posted, hopefully there'll be a proper fix soon.

@Anonymous Go to tools..application options and press the export button on the bottom of that dialog to save any application option customizations..

Then close Inventor and find the "Inventor Reset Utility" program included with Inventor and run that..

Then restart Inventor and import your application options and then see if the problem is gone..

I've had the same thing occur many times and thought it was just me and clumsy mousing.. but I don't remember this happening with 2017.

I'm trying your calibrating idea to see if that stops it. Still, strange it hasn't happened in past versions..
