There is a constraint issue with the short leg. If you try to use "close loop" on that geometry you discover that there are duplicate points at your sharp point there. Unfortunately, because it is placed on reference geometry you'll struggle to fix it using the "close loop" command.

If you delete the short leg and then redraw it, it appears to correct the problem (on my side anyway).

Ok ...so I was actually right they want to take some off the outside of the hex too... 

but we wouldn't know that it was a valve till we saw this ...
