Revit interoperability for Inventor 2027

So I just installed Inventor 2027 yesterday, and the first thing I tried to do was to export an assembly as *.rvt/*.ifc, the dialogue suggests that it will install the neccesary components to do so, I click ok and nothing happens. I click ok again, and I get a message stating that an installation is already ongoing. So I wait. For a long time. Nothing happens. No installation progress bar, nothing to indicate that the process is running or anything.

Shouldn't this just work...?

You need to install the Interoperability package

...and where do find that? I didn't see it on the download page for Inventor, it should be under "Extensions".

Revit 2027 hasn't been officially released yet which is why you don't see it under extensions yet. The last I saw, the Revit interop component going to be released on April 7th, due to some last minute issues still under investigation.

Thanks,

Chris

If you select any of the other versions it should install Revit interop for you.

Is there any reason you need 2027? Most building projects are working on much older versions of Revit.

If you need IFC export then you can also do this through Revit 2026 interop.
