Revision Cloud Hatch

Has anyone tried to hatch a revision cloud? I can place the revision cloud ok but when I double-click to open it the Hatch Region doesn't do anything. Any ideas?

If your drawing is saved as DWG format, you can go to AutoCAD and hatch it there if you create a closed loop. The revision cloud output isn't a closed loop apparently.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. It's a bit long-winded but it is a work-around.

Go to the SDK folder of your Inventor installation, eg. C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2022\SDK

In this folder there is a UserTools.msi file, run this file and it will extract. You should now have a UserTools folder inside the SDK folder. The UserTools folder contains the DrawingTools add-in. Register this add-in and you will have a revision cloud option in Inventor Drawings.

Thanks, Wynand. I could create the revision cloud from the Add-In OK - I just couldn't hatch it.

If I run the 'Close Loop' command on each segment to close it then it can be hatched.
