Resolve file in Assembly - Inv 2022

When I open this assembly, I see this in the model browser. I get no warnings or messages when I open that assy.

When I right-click on the "?" I see the "Resolve File" command is active. But when I click on it, Inventor spins for a few seconds but nothing happens. Still have the "?" in the browser.

I can't see the BOM because this dialog comes up.

Any clues on how to figure out what the problem is?

Thanks

Hopefully that isn't a large assy but you may have to dig down into each component and open each of those up and see if perhaps an update wasn't applied for some reason or another.  One thought comes to mind are Mirrored files do not always get an update from the Parent unless someone takes the time to open and force the update to happen.

I was able to figure out the issue. It was an imported .sat file.  I found it by just opening each part in the model.  The imported file looks like this when I opened it.

I tried the "Edit Import", but I never could get it to resolve the file. The file is importing the .SAT file and it is set as a reference model.

In order to solve this, I started a new .ipt file and imported in the SAT file using the "Convert Model" option rather than the "Ref Model".  This created a new multi-body part that I saved and placed into the assembly.

Not actually sure "Why" it failed to resolve the original SAT file reference.

Thanks,

Kirk

NOTE: I am using Inventor 2022.5.2

I am having this same issue with imported step files.  Some/ but not all of them are not being referenced.

Are you using Inv 2022 or a later version?  You may have to look at each file in the iam until you find the one that's causing the issue.
