In a IDW, from the menu FORMAT, then ACTIVE STANDARD, there is many choice of std to be use but I have made custom active std so I do not required the defaults one (the ones installed with Inventor by default)
How do I make those default active std offline? I want to be sure that no one is using the wrong active std...

you can go to "format-->style and standard editor..." import and acitve your customer active std from RMB context menu, then select "active standard " in the top-right drop down list.(such as attached jpg). after these steps, only your customer style display. and you can save your this drawing include your "custom active" style as drawing template in your inventor install foder(:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2009\Templates). in future, you can new drawings from this customer template with your customer active std.

Well, first of all, note that you're looking at All
Styles which means that most of the styles you're looking at are in your
external library, not in your document. If you just don't want to SEE
those styles, change your display filter (top-right-hand corner of the dialog)
to either Local or Active Standard.
To delete styles out of your library, you need to
run the Styles Library Manager from your Windows Start menu (it's an external
application).
