Rectangular repeat around an axis

Hello experts,

I am trying to achieve the following.

I already drawn the cylinder and the grooves, I also have the first set of holes but can't figure out how to repeat them with a twist.

Any idea?

Hi,

First you have to create Spiral curve on cylinder with 3d-Sketch with desired diam, length and rotate angle:

Then create a first Hole on tangent plane to cylinder in first spiral point.

Next use Rectangular patern along spiral, It is important to select Orientation to "Direction1"!

At last use Circular pattern

Since you didn't attach a file, we don't know the real problem. It's possible that you don't need to create sketches, and you can just point existing model edges as the pattern path.
