Realistic Visual Style, Appearance Images Missing

Hello all,

I recently upgraded to 2015 and this morning was the first time I have switched to the Realistic Visual Style (I usually work in Shaded With Edges). As it turns out, none of the images assigned to our company custom appearances are showing up. I can't recall if this is something that happened prior to our upgrade but I don't think so. Here's a screenshot of the Shaded vs. Realistic visual styles:

Is it not possible to have a custom realistic visual style with an image applied (I know there are some AD library ones that work)? In all honesty, I've struggled with these appearances ever since Autodesk changed them a few years back and it's possible during all the migrations that I've screwed something up here.

In the appearance tab is "Textures ON" checked?

Have you tried to edit that appearance and ensure all the settings look correct? Specifically that the image can be found and is showing in the preview window?

Have you ensured 2015 has all updates/service packs applied?

Textures: Yes

Image Found: Yes

Showing in Preview: Maybe (sometimes when the scale of our textures is small it's hard to see in the preview so I don't know if that is the case here or if it is not showing because something isn't working)

All 2015 Updates Installed: No, I will do that after my lunch meeting and report back. I haven't installed SP2 because I was only recently made aware of it's existence and I haven't yet found the time.

This is what the appearance editor looks like:

"looks" ok..

As a quick test please turn off reflectivity on that appearance and see if that makes a difference..

Thanks for the help mcgyvr, I've turned off the reflectivity and it doen't help. I've also installed all of the latest updates and SP's, I'm now running SP 2, Update 1. That also didn't help the situation.

I remember back when we upgraded to 2012 (or 2013) when they had just changed all of the materials/appearances to be this new "unified" library there was a process we had to go through to get all of our custom appearances to migrate and then show up properly. It had something to do with the whole shaded vs. realistic scenario. I thought we did that process correctly but maybe not. I'm going to do some digging there and I'm also going to try creating a brand new appearance and see if that one works.

yep..

I HATE how they keep messing with appearances/lights,etc.. year after year.. I get everything looking great and then the new release comes out and I do it all over again..

For some reason I remember this texture problem from somewhere else just cannot for the life of me remember the what/why about it..

Can you pack and go a very small dataset with that appearance in it to play about with?
