R8SP1 - Tweak Order

Anonymous
Not applicable
Summary - Is there a way to change the order of tweaks for a component? For example, make the last tweak the first tweak. I want the trials to display differently. Details - I have a subassembly attached to a plate. I tweaked all the subassembly components away from the base component of the subassembly. I forgot to first tweak the entire subassembly away from the plate. To remedy, I tweaked just the base component of the subassembly away from the plate. I then added the rest of subassembly components to that tweak. However, for these components, this new tweak should be their first tweak, not the last tweak. It is messing up the trails.

Mark, The answer is yes. Click on the wording of the browser bar and choose tweak - I think You might have to play around a bit because I don't have Inv open at the moment. You then be able to drag the tweaks to the order you want. As I said, you'll have to play around a bit. If you can do this can you save an avi file or something. I tried in IV8 and can't reorder tweaks themselves. You can reorder the sequences but the trails follow the order that they are applied. I don't think there is any other way. You can delete all the other tweaks for an item and then copy the item back into the other tweaks in the order you want them to follow. K Johnson

Check the date and subject of the posts you're replying to-- your answer is not helpful for people using Inventor Release 8 (we're now using release 24).  The presentation environment was completely re-made in the last few years (2017?).
