"Family Table contains not valid values for some members" in Family Table

I'd like to know if anyone knows how to clear this exclamation mark on one of the families in our custom content center.  I’ve tried filling values in to the column, deleting the column, deleting the last row of the table.  None of these cleared the exclamation point.

These are the steps I took leading up to the error:

  1.  Edited the family table.
  2. Added a column called WMAX
  3. Listed the Data Type as Integer
  4. I then said OK on the Family Table and got a pop-up which looked something like below.
  5. I said OK to the pop-up and that is when the icon on the family changed to have the exclamation point.

It looks like you have some cells that don't have a value. I don't remember if it is every column, but I know that at least some types of columns don't like an empty value. Have you verified that data exists in all the cells in your table?

Yes, I've verified each cell has a value.  I tried to recreate my steps on another test family leaving one cell intentionally blank.  Filling in that cell clears the error.  Deleting the column clears the error.

However, this does not work on the trouble family.  I tried making a copy of it and I even deleted all the rows in the family table.  It still has the exclamation mark.

I ended up restoring a backup copy of the content center as I assume that family had been somehow corrupted.

Another thing to not is any excluded rows will keep blank cells. They need to be included and then filled in with a value that isn't blank.

If I come across these errors when adding a row or column I usually open the table in excel and use the duplicate query function to highlight if there are duplicates. Or indeed you have a larger screen to identify the problem area.
